I have finished 36 chapters in approximately 19 hours of the seventh and last book in the Potter series, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. I cried a lot in some of the chapters. Reasons are the deaths of characters whom I enjoyed and got fond of especially... Never mind. I mustn't spoil the fun.
J.K. Rowling never fails to surprise me. And I have proved that of my agonizing pain when I waited for each of the seven books to come out. She definitely left me at the edge of my seat, craving for more Potter's adventures and magic-filled pages. The Deathly Hallows, for me, was the best by far in the series, overtaking my former Number One Favorite, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix.
When I got my hands which were itching with excitement on the last book, I noticed tears fell down my eyes. Wondering why? You see, I have been a fan...a really huge fan...And like what my classmates say, 'adik'!! I think I was in my First Grade when I started to read Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone and I'm glad that I stuck to it until the very end. Harry Potter, from the books to the movies, has influenced me a lot. And I mean every part of me! I started saying Lumos with my wand everytime I open the lights and other Potter-related stuff like that.
I really cried when I received the book last Saturday. It was like saying hello to a long lost friend..but when I finished reading the 700+-paged book, I cried again. Because it was like saying Goodbye to a friend who you might never see again for a very long time... That was what I felt when I finished the book. *Sigh*
And now I thank that I have been born in this time...To take part...To read and experience every ounce of magic in the HP series... If it weren't for JKR, I might have never opened my eyes and my mind to releasing my inner thoughts and the vast imagination I have kept inside my hand. JK is an inspirational icon for me. After I read the three books, I got inspired so I started to write stories which I did not have any time to finish. But one time, like JKR, I will...Or should I say... The idea of a great story will come to me...Then I just have to stick with it until the very end...Just like how I stuck with Harry Potter to the very end.
